Word on the google net says Chinese airsoft gun manufacturers have recently been forced to shut down most worldwide airsoft gun distribution. Indeed, one U.S. distributor has confirmed this and replied to information requests from airsoft battle zone with the following statement;
"There has been trouble in China for airsoft. Currently the big factories are closed down by government officials (police, army) and some owners have been arrested. For those in the dark airsoft is illegal in China. Until the investigations are over these factories will be unable to make product (Well, Cyma, Double eagle, AGM, Jin Gong, Galaxy). We are waiting for news but at this time everything is still at a standstill".
For those of you who were left "shell shocked" by this news, there is hope. The upside, this happens rather frequently in mainland China so the airsoft gun ban most likely will not last long. Already we have been notified that Jin Gong Airsoft Guns are being made available for export shipping to the U.S.A. so it looks like the JG airsoft guns will be available for the Christmas 2009 shopping season. The downside, If the other companies are not allowed to export soon then airsoft stores in the U.S. may face depleteing stock levels soon and price increases and shortages will be imminent and persisting through the spring 2010 airsoft game season.

We will be closing our Airsoft Battle Zone Field for the remainder of the year 2009 in an effort to divert the money used for normal airsoft field operations, expenses and insurance into a legal fund to help fight off a recent cyber attack and squat on our registered and state trademarked

Airsoft War Games 2009

Airsoft Battle game warriors will be arriving at the airsoft fields en masse soon, all geared up and ready for 2009's best airsoft conflicts to erupt. Each individual team's arsenal will be filled with some of the hottest airsoft guns and gadgets on the market. Load outs now include war replica weapons of all generations from MP40's to M4's, M16's, and AK47's. Sniper teams with terrain blending camo and airsoft gas rifles will be ready for that one game winning shot to present itself. Support gunners with M249's and the increasingly more popular MG36 airsoft machine gun will be setting up the high ground and ridge lines to ambush the first unsuspecting fire team who's patrol leads them into harms way.

Airsoft game gear manufacturers have now replicated most tools of battle from the 1800's to present day. Squad support weapons in the form of armed vehicles, grenade launchers (M203's) and mortars that fire 1000 bb's in one shot are now used at many airsoft events across the United States and elevate the games battle themed components to new levels. Sonic Boom airsoft booby traps, landmines, hand grenades and even remote control claymore mines are being bought and deployed by airsofts elitist teams, players and groups.

Winter Airsoft Games

Had to look twice at the Airsoft Battle Zone Game Calendar, can you believe it is mid November? This years summer and fall airsoft season has just zoomed by and we are about to kick off our Wisconsin snow filled Winter airsoft games. The next big scenario is Operation Santa Sleighed on December 28Th 2008 which features a fun politically incorrect story line about uncle Sam-A-Claus. It appears old Kris Kringle's toy land is not to big to fail and the US government is evicting Santa's whole crew out of the north pole factory so they can make it more profitable. Who writes this crap anyway? Hope to see you there!

In other news...Seems the new airsoft guns are flowing into the U.S.A. for Christmas 2008 and many new styles have been showing up at the games lately. Echo 1 p90's, KWA M4's and western arms blow back AEG's to name just a few of the new models. Custom guns are becoming popular among the WW2 players as the airsoft gun manufacturers have not kept up with the growing demand from the WW2 guys and gals. Well maybe next year!

The free airsoft bb target enhancement program kicked off last week at the Airsoft Battle Zone field and met with great success...We actually gave out more than 60,000 free airsoft bb's to players who brought a friend out to check out the games. Thanks to all the customers who have helped give this program a shining start...We will continue to offer the free bb's to any player who brings out a friend who is new to the field and meets the other criteria as posted on the Wisconsin Airsoft Forums!

Guess I should wish you all a happy and successful 2009 airsoft season as it seems this blog gets neglected for months at a time so it will probably be next year before I get around to updating it again. Remember when Santa leaves all that cool new airsoft gear under the Christmas tree to play safe and wear your goggles. Please do not do dumb things like brandishing your new airsoft guns in public. Wisconsin Airsoft Wars and Games

WOW it has been awhile since I stopped to Jot down some notes here, so I figured an update was overdue. During the course of this Wisconsin airsoft season we have seen allot of changes and met many new players and customers. ABZ staff have been busy with the Freefall airsoft game, Wisconsin Airsoft Expo and Codename Thunder airsoft events all within a one month period and I am happy to say it is not over yet!

We still have the well regulated militia airsoft event on August 23rd and 24th at Action Packed Paintball in Waterloo, WI then we head over to Poynette,WI for the Operation Vigilance airsoft game series on September 6th and 7th. Finally we get to return to the Airsoft Battle Zone home field in mid September for Operation Hard Drive A FATPD Production being held on the 14th of Sept.

October 5th brings the new Underworld series By Jedi and also Operation Plague 2 (Lupine Productions) on October 12th to the ABZ Fairchild, WI airsoft field.

As for the Airsoft Battle Zone Field store it to has seen a few changes and improvements but most of our efforts (when we are home) are going into the field. We did manage to get a large tower erected on the hamburger hill fire base which has made taking over the base quite difficult. The trench system in front of the CQB trailer houses has also been expanded upon and the trenches are now wide enough for the Jeep to drive through.

New airsoft gun releases

Airsoft gun suppliers have had a hard time in 2008 keeping stocks of new airsoft guns available so some great new releases are just entering the market this fall.

We are seeing some new full metal aeg's begin floating into airsoft stores. ABZ just got in the new AGM 416/614 series and have been running field trials and testing and I am very impressed with the build ,quality and performance of these new guns...Word Of Caution...These full metal 614's by agm chronographed at 450FPS...Most fields will not allow this without adding sniper class restrictions meaning you will have a minimum engagement distance and can only use semi auto. At distances of 50 feet or closer these guns Hurt bad!

The new JG full metal CQB M4's should be arriving this week...Can't wait to field test these as the early reviews have been very good. One quick mention of the CodeName: Thunder 5 airsoft game and then I am off to work on more guns. ABZ staff and our sponsored airsoft teams Wolf Recon and CWC Airsoft Specialists made the 9 hour trip from Eau Claire, WI to the Sherwood Forest Paintball Field in Laporte, IN on August 9th and 10th 2008. Once again the US forces were beaten back by the Cartel. This game was by far one of the most bb filled, extreme airsoft events I have ever attended and the US had to fight for every inch of real estate it gained throughout this entire airsoft event. If you are looking to pick one airsoft game to attend in 2009 I would highly suggest saving your bb's up for this one...To date it is my favorite Milsim Airsoft Game!

5 Steps To The "Perfect Airsoft Gun" Shopping Guide

Alrighty then,

Now listen up parents and new airsoft players! "There are no perfect airsoft guns when it comes to quality"...Did you hear that? None!

However there are some choices you can make that will assure you are equipped with good basic airsoft equipment and a good safe airsoft game starter package that includes a quality checked airsoft gun so you and-or your childs first airsoft experiance is not a huge dissappointment.

1st. Research the airsoft gun model you will purchase- Airsoft guns now come in a mind boggling assortment of styles, designs and models. Your first decision needs to be which style you prefer...M16's, mp5's, and AK47's are just a few of the more common styles available. You can now buy almost every style of weapon used from world war two airsoft guns too, todays ultra tactical sniper and full automatic machine guns being used in wars overseas as I write this...Most will be 6mm caliber airsoft but some now feature a slightly larger 8mm caliber airsoft BB for muzzle realism. Some will have plastic gearboxes (not reccomended) some will have metal gearboxes, some operate on airsoft gas, some on propane, research cost $0. 2nd. Research the airsoft safety gear you will purchase- This should probably be #1 on the list as it truly is the number 1 consideration that should be addressed either before or at the time of purchase. Eye protection must be purchased before you play airsoft. Many kinds are available but all must meet the impact standard for goggles as listed by ANZI 87.1 to be considered safe
Due to fogging issues in hot or humid climates many airsoft fields allow heavy mesh masks to be worn which will not fog up...ever, eliminating the threat of someone raising their goggles during a game due to fogging issues. However these must not be used with bio-degradable airsoft BB's. Average cost $20.00 for mesh $60 to $150 for good "no fog airsoft safety goggles"

3rd. Your budget: I frequently tell customers at airsoft battle zone to not purchase a new airsoft gun until they have saved more money. There are airsoft gun models featured online and at retailers that sell for less than 100 hundred dollars. If you have the mechanical aptitude and budget to replace broken cheap plastic body parts and weak gearbox internals then buy one...otherwise it is going to cost you a minimum of $120.00 for a quality 50% metal airsoft gun and 200 dollars or better for a full metal version.

4Th. Pick your model- After due diligence and research and once you have picked a model that fits your budget, go and feel it, handle it or call an airsoft retailer or repair shop and ask about your chosen model. Ask questions like: "how durable it is stock or new in the box"? How easy is it to get repair parts for this airsoft model? How hard is it to maintain and lubricate this airsoft gun model? Can I get an airsoft gun repair manual for this model? At airsoft battle zone every airsoft gun model is test fired and adjusted before we sell them to our customers. If you live in Wisconsin you can drive out to our airsoft field and game store located in Fairchild and test fire our airsoft models before you buy. We also have teamed up with technicians from our airsoft gun repair department and developed in depth repair manuals for most styles of quality airsoft guns we sell.

5th There is no perfect airsoft gun: Even the good ones have strengths and weaknesses as they are mechanical devices. Any airsoft gun will require periodic maintenance and repair, much like a car or any vehicle, you must oil and grease fast moving parts on your airsoft gun to maintain peak performance. Many veteran airsoft players have learned to rebuild guns themselves or only buy durability upgraded guns, again these are not the perfect airsoft gun but common models which have been quality checked and higher performance and more durable parts have been pre installed by an airsoft technician or airsmith.

Well now you at least have a starting point on your quest for the perfect airsoft gun. Free Airsoft Games in Wisconsin

Hey, when is the next airsoft game at ABZ?. This has become a real common question these days with spring knocking on our back door. Well now its simple...Every Sunday in 2008 we will have games at the Airsoft Battle Zone airsoft store and game field located in Fairchild, WI. We are currently about 50% done with building and airsoft store renovations, our AEG rental center is open for business right on the airsoft field, and features a nice selection of $20 a day rental airsoft guns. Both the field and store will be open from 10:00 AM until 5 PM every Sunday with the exception of our travel days to other major airsoft events in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota. Check our ABZ Airsoft Game Calendar for specific game dates and times. You will have to fill out a waiver which can be done online at airsoftbattlezone.com or at the field, but a parent or guardian must sign with anyone under 18. On the calender you will note that there are Open Free airsoft Games, FATPD airsoft games and larger paid airsoft production events.

Let me Explain:

1st. The open airsoft game days are free. Bring your buddies and play together all day however you want, or join other groups of players for a larger game.

2nd. FATPD airsoft games are free airsoft games with a scripted scenario. These games will follow a certain storyline and usually will have special rules and regulations attached ie: Mid cap magazines only, special airsoft medic rules, cqb house special rules, game props in use and more scenario related guidelines.

3rd. Paid airsoft games are larger scenarios with annual game dates. These games typically play once a year and the entry varies from $20 to $50 depending on the event, how long it lasts (1 or 2 days) These large scenarios typically have MVP giveaways, cash prizes, door prizes or a variety of airsoft gear and gadgets available. These are full fledged airsoft productions sponsored by a plethora of airsoft companies.

4th. Airsoft Rentals are available for $20 dollars a day and include Metal Gearbox AEG of your choice, Full face mask, 1 hi-cap Magazine, battery. Airsoft bb's are available for purchase as well.

In closing let me remind players we are a Wisconsin Airsoft Association affiliated airsoft field and store meaning you must sign up and take the WAA AEC saftey course at a Wisconsin airsoft field to continue to be eligible to play on these fields. We invite everyone to come out and enjoy the sport but if you choose to begin playing regular scheduled games then the Airsoft Education Course will be a requirement. Something we have wanted really bad, had to have, searched for a long long time to no avail, then one day CLICK OMG... there it is, the Golden AEG and its only 2 gazillion dollars, click, click, type... click, got it, its mine hahahaha! Hmmmm....Who did I buy that from?? Click contact us first, before website buys!

Caution is required anytime you make any online purchases, and the contact us page is the starting point for any safe online commercial airsoft website purchase. Random airsoft forum buys must be watched carefully as well, since most airsoft forums do not have a contact us page for each user. Most will allow you to click on a user name and view user entered information in a separate window. Moderators on airsoft forums can be private messaged to ask about the credibility of a seller or buyer. Be sure to PM the mods and not ask publicly as this is considered bad forum netiquette. On our Wisconsin Airsoft Forum most teams will list the stuff they have for sale on their boards or post and let people know to check out a large sale on the team website. As most players know each other from local airsoft games, you already know of this persons integrity or you know someone on the forums who can vouch for them. Most airsoft team boards and forums are free to join and the recent increase in airsoft teams with websites can only mean the sport is growing rapidly so the importance of safe airsoft tunnel vision shopping will greatly increase your enjoyment of the sport. Wisconsin Air Soft Winter Games

Yep that's right, the crazy cheese heads in Wisconsin play airsoft games all winter long. Just switch from standard BDU's and ACU's to some all white camo, put some white tape stripes across your airsoft gun to help break up the profile, and you are ready for some intense winter gaming. Our Fairchild, WI air soft game field operates year round. It helps that the 2800 sq ft, cqb/cqc buildings are heated as well as the large shed located in the safe zone. Re spawn points and times are typically adjusted so players can warm up for 15 min or so each time they are hit and called out. Safety awareness is critical as the trails and paths on the field have the potential to be rather slippery if we have fresh snow .Depending on the temperature on any given winter game day we will decide if we will be keeping mostly indoors or on warmer winter days we use the whole field, building foxholes and ambush points in deeper snow. Dressing in layers for winter airsoft games is super important so you can regulate your temperature and keep from sweating allot, as this will prematurely make you cold. Good waterproof nonslip footwear is essential to keep your feet warm and dry and I do not have to explain the purpose of the Nonslip soles on your boots.
We have many areas on the field with high grass and pine trees that make great ambush and cover spots for games all winter long. Another benefit to complete snow cover on the ground during winter games is the use of pyro type smoke that has to be lit with a match. Most of the year we do not allow this type of smoke to be used on the field due to the fire hazard it presents. In winter we do allow players to use smoke if there is 100% snow cover.
Really the winter air soft season can be just as much fun as the summer gaming if players are properly prepared for the season. Stock air soft guns seem to operate just fine outside in winter. Highly upgraded weapons will give you more trouble due to the already tight tolerances, however if you plan on playing inside the heated buildings your air soft gun will have to chronograph below 350 foot per second to be allowed inside for close quarters combat. Another nice thing about the heated cqc house is you can use your gas blow back pistols all winter long. Find yourself with nothing to do this winter on a Sunday, check out our airsoft game calendar and come on out and sling some bb's at the Airsoft Battle Zone field.

Judy and I for many reasons have decided to move the airsoft store in Eau Claire, Wisconsin out to the airsoft field in Fairchild, WI. The store will be open on any airsoft game day at the field for customer and player purchases. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our customers but in the long run will be a benefit to all. You will now be able to test fire guns and chronograph them before you buy. Our winter hours will coincide with game dates and in spring we hope to be open 5 days a week.
Many people have asked now that Airsoft Battle Zone moved the airsoft store in with the airsoft field in Fairchild and is only open for games where can I get quality airsoft guns and gear in Eau Claire,WI and the Chippewa valley on non airsoft game days. Northern Safari Army Navy store is carrying airsoft guns that will be fully warranted for thirty days by ABZ's airsoft gun repair center. They also will be carrying a good selection of precision BB's green gas and airsoft gear. Stop in and say hi.
Also you should be aware that Northern Safari Army Navy store will be a official drop off point for ABZ's airsoft gun repairs. You also can order upgrades and airsoft custom builds here, just fill out a ticket at the store and your gun will be fixed or upgraded by ABZ in 5 days or less. If you plan on attending one of our winter airsoft games be sure and winterize your airsoft gun even though the indoor cqb buildings are heated it can be tough on your AEG to go from cold to warm enviroments. Should your airsoft gun stop working in winter while outdoors, be sure to warm it up to room temperature and try firing it again. Many times the simple expansion caused by freezing temperatures will stop your AEG from working until it is warmed up.

Airsoft Gun Low Priced Upgrade Parts "Finally"

In the last month Airsoft Battle Zone Store has been receiving many new Chinese and Asian made airsoft guns and "finally" a supply of low priced high quality parts. Some of the new parts that have us so excited are Full metal M4 bodies for $65 or how about a full metal RIS rail system for only $20.
The metal CASV rail systems seem to be a popular item that will cross over to almost all M4 series airsoft guns and only cost $65 USD. Shown above after being mounted to a JG m733 custom built M4. The metal flip up style sights are a new part we carry as well and feature accurate one click adjustment for only $10. This electric airsoft gun features the new metal body as well and all I can say is this beast is one sexy custom airsoft.
Above is another collection of custom parts used to build this MP5. The stock is a custom crane with battery and features a removable butt plate so the battery can be installed or charged from the rear of the stock. It comes as a complete package with the Battery Included for $65.00. The custom rails and fore grips are available as well.

Our airsmiths have been busy cross checking these parts so we know which current airsoft models these parts will fit. So far the results have been positive with the parts crossing over to most current makes and models of airsoft guns. The metal CASV rail systems seem to be a popular item that will cross over to almost all M4 series airsoft guns and only cost $65 USD. New Electric Airsoft Machine Guns

Airsoft Battle Zone staff have been busy preparing for the Operation Vigilance airsoft game. We will be providing on the field AEG rentals and have sale items as well so I will keep this update short.

We had several new airsoft machine guns come in to the store last week and we spent a good portion of A day last week testing these out. The new JG navy M5 is a full metal MP5 that is quite the airsoft weapon that was expelling bb's through the chronograph at 350 fps. The M4 cqb model was a popular pick as well. This airsoft machine gun model comes complete with a custom large 8.4 volt nun chuck style battery and charger. Another store arrival was the FN 2000 by JLS. Seems the real appeal to this little machine gun is the fact that it uses standard M16 and M4 style airsoft magazines. Check them out at Airsoft Battle Zone

M4 Airsoft Machine Gun

If you are like the rest of us geardo's in the airsoft world you will begin a quest for the perfect airsoft gun for you. Picking a model is easy as everyone has a "style" preference. Some guys like AK47's some like M16 while others prefer the bull pup designs or a sniper rifle load out. The common denominator for hardcore players seems to be a drive for a custom gun of their own design.

More and more custom airsoft guns are in high demand. The M733 custom shown in these pics is one of my custom builds that I did for my favorite customer...Me. I re-shimmed and upgraded the mechbox, added steel bushings and with a few other tweaks this airsoft machine gun now shoots a pleasing 385.

The full metal body and full metal rail system and rear site were added as was the foregrip and hand grip. The stock is a M16 style full stock and holds a large style battery. The complete build cost 375 and has become one of my favorite goto guns at games. The Rate Of Fire (ROF) is about 850 bb's a minute on full auto fire. This AEG also features a new "rifled barrel design" for improved accuracy. The 1 in 7" twist design has made me a believer with accurate shots out to 175'

Airsoft Video Testing

We have been busy at the airsoft gun store cleaning up all the dust caused by the city of Eau Claire tearing down the building next door to us. Thursday and Friday were both spent watching in amazement as a large CAT reduced the building that used to stand about 8' away from ours to several large pile of rubble and debris. Then they loaded it all up on semi trailers and hauled it away. We got video footage of this and I will be trying to put it on the blog soon. As a test I am going to try to post our Battleship down airsoft game video to see if it works. We are hosting an AEC class at the ABZ field tommorow and then a mini Operation Plague zombie airsoft game that looks like it could be a blast. Well hope the Airsoft video works

OMG this is a fine piece of AK47. First our friends at Jing Gong put out that fantabolous G36 that out performs maruis G36 out of the box hands down. Cops run short of ammo due to war

On the front page of the twin cities Pioneer Press was an article with the above title written by Estes Thompson. In short the article explains that police around the nation are running low on ammo for practice due to the military using up huge amounts in Iraq and for troop live fire exercises. A spokesman for the Eau Claire WI Police Dept Lt. Karl Fisher was quoted as saying the department ordered 65,000 rounds of ammo costing about $20.000 in February 2007. He was told by the manufacturer it could take up to 10 months for full delivery. Police say they like to train with weapons that are the exact size, weight, and feel of their duty weapons further driving this shortage of ammunition. I wonder if they have considered airsoft guns for training....mmmm lets see exact size, exact feel, and the full metal gas blowback airsoft guns are almost the exact weight. You can actually fire these at each other and get the adrenaline rush only a live aggressive target that is returning fire can provide. A late Happy New Year everyone. It has been a little while sense I have blogged, but with Airsoft Battle Zone expanding at the pace it is I find myself short of time. A lot has happened in the past 2 months. Our once 50% airsoft guns and 50% gift store now has went all airsoft guns and gear. With the growth of the airsofting sport and the many requests from customers for more equipment choices we found the gift side of the store needed to be strictly an online store as it was in the beginning 10 years ago. Another expansion of Airsoft Battle Zone for 2007 is opening up an indoor and outdoor airsoft field in Fairchild, Wisconsin open to the public late March, 2007. Airsoft Gas Guns and Green Gas

Here at Airsoft Battle Zone we carry many types of gas powered airsoft guns. Our inventory includes blow back gas hand guns, non blow back gas hand guns and gas sniper rifles. There are 2 types of green gas you can use the 1st one being green gas with silicone and the 2nd one being green gas with no silicone. Here in our store we only carry the green gas with silicone, reason being through numerous tests with both types of gas in a variety of our gas airsoft guns we carry in our store, we found the green gas with silicone has an outstanding performance rate compared to the non silicone green gas. During the testing of both green gases we found after 2 hours of testing gas airsoft guns with the non silicone green gas it froze the seals up and the gas guns stopped working completely. During the same test in gas airsoft guns with the green gas with silicone not one gas airsoft gun stopped performing even after many hours of testing with a variety of gas airsoft guns. Now do not get me wrong I am not saying the non silicone green gas is bad I am just sharing our test results with these 2 types of green gas.
We still recommend regardless of what green gas you use in your gas airsoft gun to always spray regular silicone in your magazine well and on the magazine gas seal approximately every 12 full magazines ran through your gas airsoft gun.

Selling Airsoft Guns To Minors

A very interesting thing happened today here at Airsoft Battle Zone. I have explained in previous blogs our policy on selling airsoft guns and 6mm airsoft bbs to minors, we do not allow it for any reason. So here is the event that took place in our store today. A mom came in with her 2 son's which are 14 and 15 years of age to purchase both of them an airsoft spring hand gun and spring shotgun. Mom and both boys signed the waiver after reading it and listening to us on the pros and cons of owning an airsoft gun, and all the safety measures that need to be taken when airsofting. Now it is time to check out, both boys have there own bank account and have debit cards I know I asked mom. Since they were minors I ran there cards and had mom sign both credit transaction receipts. My question is, was this the proper measure to take? How do you as a retailer, protect yourself from law suits? I mean if an investigation was done on our store, say 6 months from now in regards to selling airsoft guns to minors and our credit card transactions were looked at, how could we prove that mom was here when the original transaction took place?

And what about online airsoft gun purchases? If a web store has posted you must be 18 to purchase airsoft guns from this site and by making a purchase you agree you are 18, how does that stop a 15 year old with a debit card from buying anything he wants online. I recently read the following newspaper article:

Attorney General Thomas F. Reilly filed suit yesterday against six out-of-state online retailers and one Massachusetts store owner to stop sales of ‘‘look-alike’’ BB guns and air rifles to minors. The lawsuit follows an undercover sting operation conducted by Reilly’s office, which enlisted the help of a 16-year-old boy who easily purchased the guns online. Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc., the Sports Authority, GSI Commerce Solutions, Airsoft Atlanta Inc., and a Norwood store, Xtreme Action Paintball, have agreed to pay penalties and amend their sales policies and procedures. Reilly is seeking preliminary injunctions against Jungle Toy LLC and Tactical Innovations to prevent them from selling to minors in Massachusetts, where the law prohibits the sale of an air rifle or BB gun to anyone younger than 18.

As responsible airsoft gun store owners we make every effort to assure we never sell to any one under 18. This is easy to accomplish with customers who walk in to our store and purchase airsoft guns, however it is not so easy to police an online store. Is there software one can install to filter credit card purchases?

Airsoft Battle Zone Airs First Wisconsin Airsoft Commercial

With 3 months of advertising on several radio stations and with good results we decided it was time for an advertisement change. As ideas were being tossed around on our next promotional strategy with no final decision made as of yet, into our store comes a local cable company representative with a great TV commercial package. The TV commercial package included 5 stations of our choice aired during prime time all week long for 1/4 of the cost compared to radio advertisement, how could we say no. Now we begin organizing the production of our airsoft gun, airsoft gear, airsoft accessories and airsoft scenario event commercial. The first part of creating our airsoft commercial was to film one of our Wisconsin airsoft scenario events live in action. The 2nd part of the production was to take several airsoft items to our local cable company for final steps of producing our first Wisconsin airsoft commercial. Once the entire commercial was produced our local cable company brought us a final copy of the commercial for approval. Once approved by us it began to air on the History, Sci, Spike, MTV, and Fx. channels We decided to air our commercial for 1 month to monitor our customers and sales growth from this commercial. The new customer visits went up with a small increase in sales. We stopped airing this commercial for 1 month to take a survey from all who has viewed our airsoft commercial to give us feed back on what you liked or disliked, or maybe produce a new commercial. Retailers and Minors Purchasing Airsoft Guns

Here at Airsoft Battle Zone we have very strict policies on selling airsoft guns, airsoft gear and airsoft accessories to minors. Posted all over our store we have signs stating no airsoft sales of any kind to minors, must be 18 to purchase or handle any airsoft items in our store. If a minor would like to purchase or handle any airsoft item in our store they must have there parent or guardian with them and have there permission and must be present to do so. Before minor can purchase an airsoft gun there parent or guardian must completely read and sign a waiver and the minor must do the same with parent Photo ID at time of purchase and parent must be present at time of sale. Also each sale that is made here at Airsoft Battle Zone takes an average 1/2 hour to 1 hour because we explain to the customer the importance of the safety and handling of any airsoft gun ownership. As a retailer owning an airsoft gun shop without taking safety precautions and without informing your customers all the pros and cons of the airsofting sport and owning an airsoft gun could lead to the banning of airsoft guns. So if you are an airsoft retailer or just an airsofter please for the life of the airsofting sport be responsible, and be sure your fully aware of all airsoft game rules, laws and regulations.

Your AEG And Cheap Airsoft BBS

Here at our store Airsoft Battle Zone located in EauClaire, Wisconsin we experience many different things through out each day. In the beginning of opening up our store on April 4th, 2006 we sold a variety of air soft 6mm plastic bbs .12 gram, .20gram polished, .25gram and bio-degradable .20gram and excel .25 bio-degradable as well as several different high end models of automatic electric gun (aegs) as well as high end gas blowback and non-blowback all metal airsoft hand guns. As a couple of months passed we noticed the customers that purchased this type of airsoft gun always purchased the .12gram bbs due to they were the cheapest we sold. As we watched 9 out of 10 customers who purchased these .12gram 6mm plastic air soft bbs and used them in there high end airsoft guns would come back into the store with there airsoft gun jammed from the .12gram bbs. Well with careful examination of these .12gram plastic bbs, we found most of them are not perfectly 6mm round and most of the airsoft bbs had flash on them. Meaning extra plastic on the seams from the molding companies. Now you got to understand with the high end airsoft guns the barrels are a perfectly round 6mm entrance leaving no room for plastic flash, in return jams your gun. So with many episodes of unjamming customer’s airsoft guns we completely discontinued our line of .12gram plastic airsoft bbs. Here at Airsoft Battle Zone we only carry the polished seamless .20gram, .20gram, bio-degradable and .25 bio-degradable excel airsoft bbs. So if any one of you own a high end airsoft gun and you are using .12gram airsoft bbs and you are experiencing a lot of jamming problems take a good look at your bbs, and switch to a seamless polished plastic or bio-degradable airsoft bb. Also do not get me wrong .12 gram air soft bbs have there place preferably in a spring airsoft gun. Another food for thought if you read the fine print on your airsoft gun store purchase agreement you will see most retailers inform you that if you use .12gram
airsoft bbs it will void your warranty. Again not all retailers do this but most of them do.

A Typical Day At Airsoft Battle Zone

A typical day at Airsoft Battle Zone goes like this. Our Store is Open Monday through Friday 12:00 noon to 8:00pm and Saturdays from 10:00AM to 8:00PM and closed on Sundays. Even though these are the times we open my husband and I are here about 7:00AM daily with all the orders to fill from our online stores and with work we did not complete from the previous day. Since we have opened our store on April 4th, 2006 here in EauClaire, Wisconsin we have acquired a lot of dedicated customers that we spend endless time with just talking about new airsoft gun products, airsoft events ect. So it really don't matter what time we open if they see our vehicle in the parking lot they will knock on the front door and we let them in maybe they just want to chew the fat or need an airsoft gun or ammo.
No matter what the reason is we are always happy to assist them one way or another. No matter how busy we are we stop what we are doing to assist all of our customers or simply chat with them. My husband and I have an extra chair in our store just for our customers sometimes they come in pull up a chair and have coffee with us. Another daily event we encounter usually daily we have some neighborhood kids ages 12 to 16 that will pop in after school just to chat with my husband and he is always happy to answer any questions they may have or just talk about school or there daily events. Of course they know they are not allowed to handle the airsoft guns reason being they are not 18 and that is our store policy and we are very strict on that policy. Airsofting Outdoor Games and Wisconsin Winter Months

As most of you know Wisconsin winter season can be very cold and blustery.
Which leads me to airsofting outdoors in Wisconsin during the winter months.
Usually no one uses there gas powered airsoft guns outside in the winter months.
The fps rate drops drastically or the cold temperature stops your gas airsoft guns from performing at all. If you feel naked without a side arm, I would highly recommend a spring airsoft pistol as your side arm. I know some of you are saying to yourself a spring pistol, but the reality of it is would you rather use a single shot or no shot at all as your gas airsoft gun freezes up on you in the middle of an airsoft battle. The same goes for your automatic electric airsoft guns better known to most of you as an AEG. From my own experience and watching others playing outdoor airsofting games in the winter months with their aegs using the smaller batteries is not a good idea. Within the first hour you are losing your fps rate of fire. Within the next half hour after that your gun does not work at all. The recommendation for this problem is to use a larger battery and keep 2 extra large batteries charged with you during a game so you don't find your self in battle with out fire power. The 2nd thing you can do is make sure you really lubricate your airsoft gun with silicone spray. During an airsoft scenario event that last all day try to take a couple of breaks so you can lubricate your airsoft gun and maybe warm your airsoft gun up in a heated tent or vehicle. Keep sharp ears out for strange sounds coming from your airsoft aeg because it is possible you are doing serious damage to the inners of your mechbox which the end result can be very expensive. I opened up the eye appealing retail box, found the magazine (80 round mid cap) 8.4 volt stick battery, battery charger, 4 steel RIS rails, unjamming rod, speed loader tube and one "oh my god" a manual that is completely in english. With all parts accounted for and the battery on the charger with an hour to go seems the next logical step would be to just tear it apart and peak inside this little beauty.............

So we will begin this review from inside the UMG, first off I will say the UMG field strips very easily! A simple 1 pin removal of the lower gun body and gearbox speeds up and simplifies the overall maintenance time spent on this weapon. The real trick when separating the lower body from the upper receiver is to stick your finger right up the guns magazine well and push in on the hop up and barrel assembly so the air nozzle can swing out of the hop up unit. You try to explain to her that you can not buy a used airsoft gun for that let alone a new one, but she insists the decisions is final. You get off the phone with her just dumb founded. Just imagine telling one of your customers that the brand new G&G-GR-16 they just paid $369.90 for is only worth $73.98 if they try to resale it. You just lost a customer on the grounds they would think you were out of your mind. So the moral of this story is making sure if you are thinking about opening up an airsoft gun store and are going for a sba loan you need to interview your banker first.
Here are some pointers: Make sure the loan officer is male, and in his late 30s or 40’s, and has been in the military, and has a teenage son. Then you will be good to go.

New Wisconsin Airsoft Gun Retail Location

On April 4th, 2006 my husband and I opened a store front in EauClaire, Wisconsin. This is a really unique store because 50% of the store is gifts and the other 50% of the store is airsoft guns and airsoft gear. On the gift side we sell item's like wildlife glass top end tables. fiber optic figurines, korean mink blanket's and ect.... On the airsoft gun side we sell item's like Tokyo Mauri M-14's, G&G GR 16's, G&G UMG'S, ammo, gas blow back airsoft pistol's, all the gear and accessories. As well as our store front we also have 2 web store's. The 1st one is Fairchild Gift Company and the 2nd one is Airsoft Battle Zone. Our online store's do well nation wide, however our gift side of our store front is slow. Airsoft guns, and gear sale's are great!!
